How we live

In answer to one of our visitors, we live in The Pond all the year. Our climate is cold in the winter (we think), but we never get snow or blizzards. In July, our coldest month, the average maximum temperature in the air is 15.3 C (59.5 F )  and average minimum is 7.5 C (45.5 F). The Food Bearer just looked this up for us on The Internet. She is taking more notice of us now and often calls out our names as she throws the food, if we don't come up straight away.
We think that blogging is helping us realize our true personal worth. Of course, as the chief organizer of The Pond Fish I take more responsibility. I try to take the main initiative in observing and contacting the denizens of the air world.
Water is so much more comfortable. We float in the currents, dance in the rapids. We look up and observe the sky roof and sometimes the umbrella roof and the face of the Dragon Guardian. Most of the air world is indifferent to us, but we have our own thoughts as we swim and our own dreams as we sleep.

You make the water sound fun and inviting, Dawn. We think we'll stick to the air world, tho. we prefer being up high and looking down on our subjects :) purrs,

Dawn, wonderful boy! So good to know that your are yourself again. Being head fish must certainly be trying at times.
Your weather sounds perfect. We can go from below freezing for spells in the winter to 46C/116F in the summer.
You and the other pond fish are such interesting friends; we enjoy learning all about your lovely
water world.
